- Mill Pond and older Crosby streets: narrow frontages, on-street parking restrictions, and low branches can rule out the largest truck. A 17 ft truck making two runs is sometimes the faster option.
- Snow and ice: clear and treat the route from door to truck before moving day so the crew and moving equipment have safe access.
- Detached homes with a wide driveway and a suitable entry: where slope, loading and access conditions allow, a ramp may connect the truck to the entrance and reduce intermediate handling.
