A 200-workstation office relocation
The client started with rough numbers. Once we went through the photos and item lists they emailed, the real scope was clearly larger — a great deal of small equipment still needed disassembly, and a large share of the office furniture had to be packed and held in temporary storage rather than run straight from A to B. Then the destination changed: two service elevators had been promised, and on the day only one was actually working. On a job with a fixed window, that is exactly the kind of gap that breaks a schedule. It held because the trucks and the crew had been sized for the real scope rather than the original estimate. The company opened for business on time.
