Local details matter
North York includes tower moves around Yonge and Sheppard as well as house and townhouse moves beyond the main corridors. The same inventory can take a different route through a condo elevator, a basement stairwell or an outdoor walkway. We ask which entrance the crew will use before recommending staffing.
For a condo-to-house move, the first building’s elevator slot and the second property’s readiness must work together. Give us the loading-bay instructions and destination access photos, not just the unit number. North York is part of Toronto, so the relevant municipal street guidance is Toronto’s.
For towers, verify service-elevator access and the correct truck entrance. A lobby address may lead to a different side of the building from the loading bay.
Identify whether the job uses a house entrance, townhouse stairs or a condo bay. Share the actual route before the truck is selected.
For managed buildings and multi-unit properties, ask which doors and corridors are approved for moving. Check access from the parking point to the elevator.
For basement or shared-entry moves, photograph stairs and doorways. Tell us if another household shares the loading route.
Crew size, furniture disassembly and stair access planned around both addresses.
Coordinate elevator windows, loading bays and the carry from truck to door.
Declare heavy or awkward pieces early so the right equipment and crew can be assigned.
Plan for your address
Confirm the first building’s booked loading window.
Measure large furniture against elevator and destination door clearances.
Keep management contact details available at both ends.

Care in the details
Photos from G&T jobs show wrapping, loading and access methods. They are not all confirmed as taken in this city.
01Furniture and mattresses are wrapped in plastic film before they move — it protects the item, and it protects the walls, railings, and door frames it passes on the way out.
02Colour-coded room stickers go on at the loading end, so at the destination every piece goes straight to its room instead of being put down and moved a second time.
03The crew is our own. Your move is not handed to a third-party labour agency, and the owner works the job, so there is always someone accountable on site.

Yes. Send the confirmed time window and management instructions. We plan the crew around those arrangements; the building must approve the booking itself.
Yes. We assess both the elevator/loading route and the house entrance, stairs and furniture placement. The more restrictive end can determine the staffing needs.
Provide the postal address plus the actual truck entrance and loading-bay instructions. Avoid directing the truck to a passenger drop-off area unless management has approved loading there.
It is a Toronto service area. Our operating yard remains in Gormley; the North York page helps explain local access and quotation requirements.
Send both addresses, the preferred date, an item inventory or photos, and access details for Willowdale & Yonge–Sheppard or your specific neighbourhood. Include stairs, elevator bookings and heavy items. We confirm crew, vehicle and charges before a booking is agreed.
